THANK YOU ROOTED VERMONT FAMILY! WE ARE PRESSING PAUSE ON 2023. MUCH LOVE TO YOU ALL.

"The overall vibe of the ride and the event was hard to put into words. It somehow felt both welcoming and exclusive at the same time, was super challenging but also incredibly relaxed, and had the professionalism of a big event but somehow felt like I just stumbled upon a great group ride. I don't think you can plan any of those things, but is a direct result of the promoters, friends, and participants." Matt B, Tampa, FL

MULLET PROTOCOL

In the spirit of "keep Vermont weird", Rooted Vermont will follow a mullet protocol: business in the front, party in the back. Our first finishers are just as important as our last and because of that we not only have a winners podium but riders will vote on a mullet protocol podium—be on the lookout for participants or volunteers who best exude the spirit of gravel.

“RUN WHATCHA BRUNG”

What kind of bike is optimal for Vermont dirt roads? We like to say “run whatcha brung” because…bikes! But, if you’re looking for the ideal mix of speed, comfort and agility you could opt for a few combinations.

TRAILS FOR ALL

With an amazing network of mountain bike trails already a part of Cochran’s Ski Hill recreation, a new beginner trail network has been completed, thanks in part to Rooted Vermont funding. This network will encourage riding skills for anyone looking to grow confidence in the sport.

WHY VERMONT, WHY GRAVEL?

While gravel is the fastest growing category on two wheels, in Vermont — a state with more dirt roads than paved — it’s the way things have always been. There’s a simple, return to one's roots feel.
