ROOTED Vermont Code of Ethics + Expectations

  1. Mullet Protocol: business in the front, please don’t spoil the party in the back.

  2. No outside support, neutral support (must be available and open to all, in one location). No domestiques/premeditated team tactics.

  3. Abide by rules of the road, they are open to traffic! Stop at all stop signs, ride to the right of the center line, even if a center line is not marked.

  4. Be kind. The spirit of gravel is inclusive, friendly and with an adventurous spirit. We are privileged to be out enjoying nature and riding a bike.

  5. Select your gender category based on the guidelines set by USA Cycling: more info here

  6. No littering. Disqualification results in throwing your trash anywhere but an aid station.

  7. No aero bars.

  8. Respect private property, please do not take a nature break in the open.

  9. Ride honorably. Do not cut the course. If you must abandon, please report to a race official or on course support.

  10. Your safety is your responsibility. Please be prepared for unforeseen weather.

  11. No doping.

  12. Challenges to event results must be communicated by 8/1/2022.
